Julia's labor started at Chuckie Cheese. Thinking it was probably another false labor she also went to the grocery store, the bank, and got a pedicure that afternoon. Once she was home from the pedicure she finally laid down and started timing the contractions. They weren't regular but were definitely getting stronger. By the time Patrick got home from work she could no longer talk or walk through them, so it was time to go to the hospital. Once she was at the hospital she received pain medication and eventually got the epidural so she could rest through the night. The next morning it was time to push.... and push .....and push. Baby Maddy was in a posterior position or "sunny side up" which made pushing her out very difficult/impossible. Exhaustion took over after 4 hours of pushing so Julia was sent to the operating room for a c-section. Madelyn is a very healthy and beautiful girl. Julia is recovering from surgery very well. Patrick is taking care of the family along with Grammie and Grandpa McCoy. Jane was a little scared of the baby at first but is now starting to warm up to her. She gives her a lot of kisses and is always talking about "bebe." Check out the slideshow above for more pictures.
