Back in Minnesota, Grammie and Julia took Jane to the American Girl Bistro for her birthday lunch.
Grammie brought Auntie Kelly's American Girl Doll from many years ago. Jane loved having a tea party with her at our table. After lunch they went downstairs to the beauty salon and gave the doll a make-over. Of course no day at the Mall of America would be complete without finding Spongebob in the Nickelodean Universe park.
Jane and Julia flew to Indiana to visit with family.
Jane likes leading Mamaw and Papaw around the courtyard.
On Friday Auntie Pam and Cousin Autumn brought Mamaw, Jane, and Julia to the Mother-Daughter banquet at their church in Greenwood. On Saturday the family enjoyed a fun-filled day of sports. Autumn won her soccer game. Hunter won both his baseball games, and Kaylor also won his baseball game. It was a good day for the Smith kids!

Julia went in at midnight to check on Jane and this is what it looked like.
Julia put Jane back into bed at midnight, but at 6AM she was on the floor again. She slept in until about 9AM and came out of her room on her own when she woke. Julia was worried about naptime today but everything is smooth sailing and Jane is actually napping in her bed right now. All in all the transition has been a success....so far.

Julia had a sad realization this Mother's Day. Jane is growing up.
The McCoys celebrated Mother's Day by taking Grammie and Julia out to a nice brunch. Everyone enjoyed the warm sunshine after a couple days of cold rain.
Amidst all the celebration Julia shed a few tears because her little bunny is growing up so fast. Jane advanced into the next room in the church nursery and tonight is her first night in her big girl bed. Everything went really well. In fact, Jane had absolutely no reservations about the bed. We put it into place in the evening and she pranced around the house with excitement all night until she finally got to climb in at bedtime. We'll see how things go in the morning. Will she crawl out of bed and come wake us up? Or will she lay in bed and exclaim "UP" as she normally does?
